From Cape Town, a former Dutch colony, to Amsterdam, a city built on global movement, Julia-Beth traces the hidden voices history left behind. Through live poetry, performance, and sound, she bridges past and present: the indigenous, the voyager, the witness – all meeting again in today’s city of hundreds of nationalities.
Set inside the striking, ship-like Keizersgrachtkerk, this show becomes both reflection and ritual. Once built in defiance of the church establishment, the Keizersgrachtkerk now opens its doors to Pride services and conversations on our shared colonial legacy – the perfect setting for Where the Clouds Gather.
When worlds collide, will we choose fear and dominate — or love and elevate?
Julia-Beth Harris – Poet and performer
